Job Description
Woodard & Curran is a national engineering, science, and operations firm with a simple vision for clean water, a safe environment, healthy communities, and happy people. As an employee-owned company, we strive to cultivate diverse teams and encourage collaboration in an equitable and inclusive culture. We seek talented individuals from all backgrounds to help us address a broad range of water and environmental issues. We prioritize our people, offering opportunities for professional growth, ownership, and flexibility. That’s how we make a difference to our clients, people, and the planet.
What’s in it for you: Woodard & Curran offers a unique opportunity to join our growing Florida Water team to provide high-quality water, wastewater and stormwater engineering services to municipal clients across the firm’s geographies and core markets.
Location: Tampa, FL, or FL (hybrid)
Travel: 50% Day Trips
Overview:
Use your skills and expertise to manage automation and control projects from planning through closure. You will have a team of technical managers, engineers, and operations staff to support you in delivering high-quality projects within scope, schedule, and budget parameters. In addition to working with an internal team, you will regularly interface with clients to keep them informed on the status of projects and act as their trusted advisor to identify and plan for new projects that will benefit their operations. The successful candidate will regularly travel to job sites (typically within driving distance) to oversee startups, lead preconstruction and kickoff meetings, and meet with clients to discuss existing project status and new projects.
Who are we looking for:
The successful candidate will join a strong team of motivated individuals to execute projects for our municipal, industrial water, and wastewater clients. The candidate will serve as the lead for medium to large implementation projects that may be standalone or multidisciplinary SCADA projects. It is critical for the candidate to understand and meet project requirements while working within the project’s scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Because the candidate will interface with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders, the candidate must have strong communication skills. Additionally, the successful candidate will mentor junior staff and contribute to initiatives aligned with improved performance and efficiency.
