Globally there is a rapid shift to new electrified platforms to meet the demands of their end users looking to reduce carbon emissions and create entirely new product types. Our Turntide for Electrification solutions help ease the customer journey and accelerate their transition.

We are hiring for a Product Test Technician who will be responsible for production and prototype test of electrical motors, and helping to provide continuous improvement to the product, process and equipment.

The role is based at our site in Gateshead and reports into the Production Manager.

Job Role

In this role the Product Test Technician will be responsible for the following:

• System and component level testing of motors, inverters and other components to facilitate production delivery
• Development of manufacturing test equipment to aid in the product ionisation of high-performance motors, pumps & fans
• Working with planning and production to optimise product delivery

Experience and Skills

We’re looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:

• Experience using test equipment either for production or product validation
• Ability to understand technical documentation
• Experience working with High Voltage systems
• Experience in a testing or manufacturing role in any industry

It would also be great (but not essential) if in addition to the above you also had:

• Experience developing manufacturing documentation
• Experience with lifting & slinging
• Experience with rotating machinery
• Experience with LabVIEW
• Experience with electrical machines
• Experience with power electronics
• Experience with high Voltage DC systems
• Experience with data acquisition systems and sensing solutions
• list desirable experience and skills

Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent.
