Job Description

Position Overview:

Solid Power is seeking an experienced warehouse supervisor to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid‐state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast‐paced, collaborative, and innovative team environment. The preferred candidate will be experienced in shipping hazardous materials in accordance with regulations and requirements, always keeping safety in mind. They will communicate schedules and changes with carriers in a fast-paced environment. They will understand Solid Power shipping and receiving policies and train teammates in these policies. The Warehouse Supervisor will have strong leadership qualities and a commitment to ensuring tasks are completed according to Solid Power timelines. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee inventory levels and our Kanban process to prevent stock outs and provide guidance to teammates daily.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee Daily Task completion including but not limited to:
  • Daily Safety Checklists
  • Morning Inventory Walks
  • Inventory management including SAP Purchase Requisitions & Kanban management
  • Delegation of daily shipping and receiving duties to team members
  • Oversee daily/weekly/monthly warehouse tasks
  • Ensure team is staying on task and all assignments are completed by end of day
  • Dock management
  • Ensure inbound materials are received and stocked in a timely manner
  • Safe and timely physical movement of hazardous materials, to stay compliant with regulations
  • Ensure released materials are labeled in a timely manner and labels are updated
  • Dock and warehouse to remain tidy and organized
    • 5S maintenance
  • Provide guidance and training to warehouse team as needed
  • Enforce Solid Power Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure all shipping steps are completed
    • Documents correctly completed and filed
    • SAP transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner
    • Communicate status to relevant teams as needed
  • Carrier Scheduling and communication for upcoming outbound shipments
  • Ensure outbound shipments are labeled correctly; complete and accurate paperwork is provided
  • Subject matter expert in material handling with forklifts
    • Safety requirements
    • Equipment-specific capabilities and limitations

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to ship hazardous products independently and accurately – previous hazmat experience strongly preferred.
  • IATA and 49-CFR certification preferred.
  • Ability to schedule carriers and communicate changes in a fast-changing environment.
  • Knowledge of International and hazmat paperwork strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Leadership qualities including but not limited to ability to teach/train, delegation of responsibilities and clear communication.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 60 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

Salary Range: $30 - $35 hourly
