Job Description
Position Overview:
Solid Power is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Technology to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry by developing next-generation, all solid‐state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast‐paced, collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep subject matter expertise in network connectivity design, cybersecurity, and solution architecture, with a global perspective essential for our expanding operations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to work closely with internal business partners to ensure our IT infrastructure and business applications meet the highest standards.
Job Duties:
- Build and lead the IT organization by fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Design and implement network connectivity solutions, including local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) for new plants and facilities worldwide.
- Ensure robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructure to support global operations.
- Maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity posture that safeguards the company's IT infrastructure and business applications that stay ahead of emerging threats to ensure data integrity and security.
- Develop, implement, and manage IT policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Act as a key advisor to the CFO and Board of Directors on all IT-related matters, particularly in the context of a publicly traded company.
- Lead the architecture and delivery of IT solutions with a strong focus on SAP S/4 HANA ERP and SAP RISE architecture.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and direct teams to analyze functional business requirements and collaborate with business leaders to implement new solutions to achieve technical specifications and budget expectations.
- Develop and manage the department’s annual operating and capital expenditure budget, deliver quarterly forecasting, and manage staffing, projects, equipment, materials, and supplies.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science or Business Information Systems Management or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive experience in IT leadership, with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Experience in developing cybersecurity best practices and experience in setting up robust cybersecurity systems.
- Experience in designing and implementing network connectivity solutions, including LAN and WAN, on a global scale.
- Experience in developing and enforcing IT policies, IT general controls, and SOX compliance.
- Ability to utilize Agile and Lean methodologies for project management and continuous improvement to eliminate waste, improve accuracy and build quality into processes.
- Full cycle SAP ERP implementations as a functional team lead, implementation manager, solution architect, or lead consultant.
- Experience with S/4 implementation in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up 50 lbs occasionally
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
Salary Range: $137,000 - $213,000/year
