Your role

Are you driven by the challenge of solving real-world problems with bold, creative engineering? Do you want your work to directly impact the fight against climate change? We're looking for a passionate and inventive Innovation Engineer to join our Innovation & Prototyping team, where you'll help pioneer the next generation of Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work at the forefront of climate innovation—designing, developing, and refining breakthrough prototypes that turn carbon capture into a scalable, energy-efficient solution. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and designers to push boundaries, iterate quickly, and bring visionary concepts to life.

You’ll make an impact by

1.Prototype Design and Development:

• Work closely with the DAC design team to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Utilize engineering principles to create physical and/or digital prototypes of DAC systems.

2. Assembly of Mechanical and Electrical Components:

• Execute the assembly of prototypes, integrating mechanical and electrical components with precision.
• Ensure seamless integration of various subsystems within the DAC prototype.

3. Continuous Improvement:

• Being an active member of the ideation process at Skytree.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set-up testing procedures and analyze test results and implement iterative improvements to enhance prototype functionality.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with engineers, scientists, and project managers to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Effectively communicate prototype design decisions, changes, and test outcomes to team members.

5. Lab Environment Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment for prototype development and testing.
• Implement and adhere to safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
