Logistics Manager (m/f/x)

with the vision to match our ambition!

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager (m/f/x) who truly believes that the world needs Special Forces to fight climate change and reduce CO2 emissions! The Logistics Manager (m/f/x) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the logistics operations to ensure the timely and cost-efficient delivery of materials and products. The job holder will develops, implement, and maintain logistics processes while supporting the organisation’s overall delivery performance and cost efficiency targets.

What you'll do:

  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations to identify opportunities for process optimisation, streamline operations, reduce costs, and minimise waste.
  • Prepare of cost and quality reports, operational key figures as well as evaluations, forecasts, and keep track of statistics.
  • When needed, hire, lead and develop a high-performing Logistics team. Focus on building a culture of continuous learning and professional growth through targeted trainings and other leadership methods.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of transportation and customs compliance. Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations for import and export operations, including managing customs declarations and providing required reporting to state tax and customs authorities. Act as the primary liaison with these agencies for all customs-related matters.
  • Plan and organise the packaging and palletisation of products according to established work instructions, ensuring operational efficiency by monitoring packing times against standard time estimates, forecasting resource allocation, and balancing workload distribution to optimise performance.
  • Oversee material replenishment and picking requirements while ensuring timely and efficient preparation of materials for production usage while adhering to FEFO/FIFO principles. Manage the back-flow of materials from production to warehouse, identifying, recounting, and restoring materials to prevent excessive and slow-moving inventory in the production area.
  • Ensure adherence to 5S standards by keeping aisles, dispatch and receiving areas free of unallocated stock, and all warehouse locations properly marked and identifiable. Be responsible for maintaining job hardware and ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
  • Oversee the efficient flow of goods from the dispatching area while optimising outbound processes. This includes creating and storing dispatch documents and records, preparing shipments for transportation (palletisation & packaging), and loading. Ensure adherence to customer requirements, including the creation of additional documents and certifications as needed. Support the production levelling processes from the logistics perspective.
  • Overseee the efficient flow of goods into the receiving area, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of materials. This includes: monitoring and optimising inbound flow; preparing goods for counting and quality inspection; creating and storing receiving documents and records; resolving discrepancies between documentation and physical goods and organising the timely and safe put-away of materials.

Requirements

You are a great match if you have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in logistics (industrial and/or FMCG environment preferred).
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with modern ERP and WMS systems.
  • Supply Chain/Business administration related education is preferred.
  • Confident handling of MS Office programs.
  • High level of teamwork, sense of responsibility and communication skills.
