The analyst department consists of a range of divisions covering Renewable and Power, Energy Systems, Oil and Gas, Commodity Markets and Energy Services. We are looking for motivated candidates with a strong academic track record and an analytical mindset to fulfill the growing demand of our research across these groups. Analysts are the backbone of the company and are responsible for our databases and reports, which are used by clients around the world. Interns will help to gather, analyze and present our research across the department.

As an intern in the analyst department, you will immediately take part in value-adding analysis. Under supervision of more experienced analysts, you will get responsibility for your own work streams. The work will include gathering, interpreting, and updating our market-leading databases as well as modelling and report writing.

We are seeking an independent, self-driven and well-organized individual with a good analytical mindset and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the collection and analysis of data related to Chinese Gas and LNG market and update Rystad Energy’s proprietary database
• Conduct secondary research to supplement existing data and information
• Assist with data analysis and reporting to identify market signals and insights
• Support dashboard design and data visualization
• Additional tasks may be assigned by Team Manager

Requirements

• Native Mandarin speaker and fluent in English
• Undergraduate or post-graduate student pursuing degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics or related field, preferably third-year undergraduate or second-year graduate student
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel, Powerpoint, Tableau, and Power BI. Other programming languages will be an added advantage.
• Candidates who can work at least three months are preferred.
