Role Summary As a Sr. Analyst, Supply Chain Optimization, you will support the service business strategy and insights organization with understanding global distribution related cost drivers and providing insights for optimization efforts. This role will be responsible for creation of models related to the iterative process of parts costs of goods sold. This will involve consolidating the business inputs for OPEX and CAPEX based on our supply chain roadmap. In addition, you will execute and analyze the output of these models to drive service parts distribution network strategy and execution. You must have experience clearly communicating a story using data and visuals while applying lean concepts to sustainably improve processes cross-functionally. This will be a results-driven role where you will have exposure to the entire Rivian Service Operations business. The Sr. Analyst, Supply Chain Optimization will report to our Manager, Supply Chain Optimization. Responsibilities • Develop statistical models to support appropriate cost allocation to service parts and accessories product lines, globally • Identify and join data sources required to visualize service parts distribution supply chain cost (SAP ERP, Transportation Management System, Work Order Management System) • Lead cross functional teams and review forums with business leaders to drive continuous improvements in total supply chain performance balancing cost, service, and inventory • Drive decision making and accountability of supply chain optimization projects • Support creation standards for improved financial decision making for programs and investments • Consolidate and support operational management of the service parts budget • Support service parts team to analyze and explain variances to budget • Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate cost drivers • Create ad-hoc reports for the service team to support strategic and tactical planning • Leverage BI Tools (preferably Tableau) to present data trends and recommend cost optimization improvement strategies • Automate non-value-added tasks and data collection for dashboards in collaboration with IT • Make clear fact-based recommendations to challenge and spark innovation Qualifications • 3-5+ years of experience in structuring, analyzing, and visualizing large data sets • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science – Masters a plus • Experience using SAP finance and inventory modules and reporting preferred • Concrete experience with automation of non-value-added tasks and data gathering • Clear understanding of the holistic supply chain and trade-offs between inventory, cost, and service level – Spare parts or accessories operations a plus • Analytical ability to draw insights from unstructured data and provide fact-based recommendations • Thorough written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration • Resilient collaborator, with willingness to drive change • An ability to tell a story using data including visualization experience (Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI) • Experience using statistical computer languages and orchestration tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Databricks, and Tableau to manipulate data and support trend analysis from large data sets (R, Python, Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, etc. is a plus) • Detailed analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities with a focus on root cause investigations • Lean and continuous improvement expertise in Supply Chain operations • Ability to coach, manage, and support competence development within a team • Ability to travel about 10% • Ability to sit or stand for 8-12 hours per day • Required to communicate using telephone and/or email • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents • Ability to perform all duties in an office environment that may contain ambient noise and temperature fluctuations Pay Disclosure Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $107,800 to $134,800 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
