Role Summary This role will be critical to the operation of the Communications department. As a part of the Office of the Chief of Staff, Communications, you play a key role in ensuring all members of the Communications team have a positive experience and, in return, are making a positive impact to Rivian. Your primary functions are to directly support the Chief of Staff, members of the Communications team, and the Administrative Assistant. Your core responsibilities include team operations, administrative operations, and project management. Responsibilities The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: Support the Communications Chief of Staff in team operations, including quarterly Town Halls, calendar maintenance, team onboarding, team resource management, and more Support the Communications Chief of Staff with administrative operations, including budget tracking, procurement, software stack and subscriptions management, and file management Support the Communications Chief of Staff in team strategy, including Communications analytics, and developing and maintaining process and SOPs (standard operating procedures) Act as a central project management resource across the Communications team, flexing in to support various teams across various projects, campaigns, events, and initiatives Act as a champion for Communications team by instilling Rivian and Communications values and owning programs directly aimed at improving and maintaining team morale, including employee appreciation Support the Administrative Partner to the Vice President of Communications Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 4+ years of experience in Project Management or equivalent (Program Management, Team Management, Administrative Leadership) Curiosity for learning and contributing to the internal and external Communications narrative Ability to work with leaders in the company and members across the Communications team to tackle complex challenges and opportunities. Comfort taking ownership of multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. Strong team-oriented mindset, able to embrace flexible work across time zones and collaborate to get the work done. The capacity to thrive in dynamic and ambiguous environments, while being flexible, collaborative, and reliable Ability to follow quick and ambiguous instructions and deliver against them Experience with event planning and execution and developing and maintaining process/standard operating procedures Excellent organization and adherence to deadlines; you are the glue holding team members accountable and keeping projects on track Ability to think holistically and integrate thematic insight into individual projects Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Ability to travel across the country or to a Rivian center of gravity as needed Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $87,300 — $90,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
