Role Summary Our Rivian Field Service Technician - Department of Defense (DoD) Skillsbridge Internship position is a pathway to grow our Field Service Team and work towards keeping the world adventurous forever. In joining the program as a Rivian Field Service Technician Intern, you will learn the fundamental skills to be successful in a high-paced and technologically driven environment. During the program, you will obtain hands-on training at a Rivian Service Center and receive exclusive instructional guidance with a mentor. This is a DoD SkillBridge Internship open to Transitioning Military Service Members only. There is a 90-day minimum commitment for the internship and will require command approval as well as compliance with any and all other requirements for participation in the SkillBridge Program as determined by Rivian and the DoD. Responsibilities Complete a minimum of 30 – 40hrs per week: combined time between training and on-the-job mentorship. Assist Rivian Service Technicians with general repairs, mobile repairs, and any additional tasks requested from the service team. Adhere to all Rivian policies during program Follow service procedures according to Rivian service manual without compromising the safety of the repair Successfully complete week over week learning objectives with mentor sign off Perform or assist with assigned diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of the repair under guidance of mentors Learn necessary parts operations such as parts ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory Stay up to date with weekly objectives with Rivian training Support campaigns and containment initiatives Establish peer relationships and work under the mentorship of a senior technician Maintain high quality work and efficiency while working with supervision Work with a collaborative attitude and team spirit in an ever-changing, dynamic environment Perform duties and communicate with a high level of professionalism Additional service center support, including travel, may be required depending on business need Keep operational areas in a high level of operational readiness, housekeeping, organization, orderliness and free of hazards. Follow all applicable Company policies, including providing adequate notice of the need for time off. Following the successful completion of the SkillBridge program, if selected for full-time employment with and hired by Rivian you will be eligible to receive compensation from Rivian including a base hourly rate determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Rivian also provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for qualifying full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partners, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
