About Redwood Materials

Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

People & Compensation Analyst

As a People & Compensation Analyst, you will hold a dual role on the Total Rewards team, responsible for people metrics and analytics as well as compensation analysis. The role is crucial to supporting the organization to understand our people through data and ensuring that our organization offers compensation programs.

Responsibilities will include:

People Analytics

  • Establish, maintain and improve a set of regularly reported metrics for HR and business leaders to gain insight into the people side of the organization
  • Project based analytic work to support programs across the people team to contribute to the measurement & improvement of programs such as performance management, training and development and diversity.
  • Prepare reports on HR metrics for presentation to HR team members and leaders
  • Identify reasonable goals, milestones and benchmarks for people team metrics.
  • Recommend policies, process improvements or programs that may help improve metrics relative to milestones or benchmarks.

Compensation Analyst

  • Analyze data from internal and external data sources to set organizational compensation targets to ensure an organization’s compensation is competitive in the relevant market. Sift through data to identify trends and recommend changes to the compensation program based on those trends.
  • Build models to understand the financial impact of compensation programs.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on the People team and in the business on offers, promotions, org changes and more to ensure appropriate compensation levels and changes.
  • Support the administration of our annual programs including merit and equity refresh awards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in analytics, preferably in HR and/or compensation
  • Experience with a start-up or high-growth environment is preferred
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Expert with excel and HRIS systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in benefits programs.
  • A Passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
