By creating innovative technology we’re helping customers manage their energy better, decrease their bills and drive their electric vehicles further - all whilst improving our planet for generations to come, but these changes can’t happen without a robust and efficient support structure within the business to facilitate the change and drive the innovations across the business. In this case, that comes in the form of Energy Operations. Within Energy Operations we need to ensure we are driving excellence in our processes, our people and our delivery; this role plays a key part in that.


This role in a nutshell:

Working closely with other operational functions, both within and without the department you will have a keen interest in diversifying your knowledge and will be a key interface between various teams. You will ensure project delivery and timelines are effectively communicated to stakeholders and that priorities are set to best support the wider department.

In this role you will play a vital part in delivering the department's goals and objectives, in particular driving specific projects and initiatives which fall outside the BAU remit of Industry, Onboarding and Billing.


Your key outcomes will be:

  • Managing the end to end delivery of key initiatives across the Billing and Industry team, focussing on Initiatives which cross our teams, wider functions and our Billing Platform partner company
  • Maintain the cadence of delivery and manage the relationships between different people within and across teams.
  • Quickly understand complex initiatives and opportunities to identify next steps in understanding and recovering value.
  • Manage end to end delivery of key Incidents which impact Billing Ops through to 100% resolution.
  • Summarise, simplify and effectively communicate complex or technical proposed solutions at the appropriate level to a variety of stakeholders

Within your first 6 months you’ll:

  • Have supported delivery of your first small project, from conception to execution
  • Have supported the resolution of a major incident or resolved a significant technical problem
  • Have started to build relationships with your key internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand the role of Energy Operations and its role in driving OVO’s success
  • Understand the fundamentals of the Kaluza platform and how we can drive operational improvement

  • Have good experience of delivery management across complex problems and initiatives
  • Find new concepts easy to understand, and show the tenacity to keep asking the right questions.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - able to articulate results clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
  • Clearly demonstrated ability to drive delivery of complex projects across multiple functions..

We’ll pay you between £40,000 and £45,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
