About the role
As a Material Planner, you’ll be responsible for the procurement and management of direct materials, ensuring seamless operations across our production line. You’ll play a critical role in planning material requirements, collaborating with various teams, and contributing to the efficiency and success of our supply chain processes.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure SIOP needs are aligned with the Material and Transportation Plan (0-24 months)
- Proactively plan material requirements, orders and deliveries to support the manufacturing and customer demands as well as leading mitigation actions during inventory shortages.
- Optimize batch size, minimum stock quantities, committed purchases and “on hand “ and “in transit” inventories aligned with company budget goals.
- Approve invoices from suppliers for direct material purchases and resolving any issues relating to the orders in the process
- Create and develop procedures, SOP:s, Work Instructions and training material
