We are looking for a driven CAD Infrastructure Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Factory Design team based in Västerås.

About the job

You will develop and maintain CAD infrastructure and procedures for usage in Factory Layout Engineering, spearheading the usage of best-in-class tools and Ways of Working within the factory design effort. Coordinating, developing, and implementing feature requests, bug fixes and continuous improvements within the team toolbox, including hosting forums and conducting external research and intelligence gathering within relevant technical fields. Provide technical support for the team in terms of tools, being the in-house technical expert ensuring world class tools for world class factory designs.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create, develop, and maintain CAD infrastructure for use in factory layouts and designs including standards, toolboxes, ways of working and utilities to enhance the Factory Design workflow
• Collaborate closely with equipment suppliers and internal/external stakeholders to identify and address opportunities and risks within the Factory Design workflow
• Develop and maintain a library of equipment models for cross-functional and multi-platform usage
• Pushing the technical frontier on how to integrate and develop a broad suite of design tools and platforms in a modern factory design environment and with emphasis on scalability and efficiency

You are a CAD-enthusiast with a curious mind and an eye towards the technical frontier.
