Job Description

About the Role:
As Mill’s Product Quality Engineer you will be responsible for all areas of Mill’s HW product quality. You will partner closely with the Engineering and Operations teams to establish meaningful quality metrics and drive Mill’s manufacturing and supply chain partners to achieve targets that are great for both our customers and our business. This is a hands-on role and includes managing third party partners to ensure end to end product quality coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Help Mill design Quality into the products using Risk Analysis and DFMEA/PFMEA techniques
- Develop Mill Quality Management System (QMS) that can be used internally and deployed at CMs as necessary
- Drive “Closed Loop Corrective Action” (CLCA) on material and product quality problems ensuring that the root causes of failures are identified and long-term resolutions are implemented
- Drive cross functional problem solving for critical Field Issues / Hardware Warranty Returns and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
- Develop and Lead factory audits to ensure CM is adhering to Mill requirements
- Lead and execute Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT) in combination with Mill Systems and Reliability teams
- Create quality metrics that can be used during product development and metrics for monitoring product quality.
- Create and execute Quality control and test plans during development and during ongoing production
- Establish quality processes throughout the HW supply chain from component vendors through FATP including first article inspections and driving corrective actions where necessary
- Work with our CM partner(s) to ensure Mill Quality requirements are being translated into internal specifications and executed accurately. Ensure appropriate in-process and outgoing quality controls are in place
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree (MS or BS in Engineering) required
- 10+ years experience in Quality/Reliability engineering
- Knowledge of quality, reliability, supplier mgt, statistical analysis and auditing techniques
- Exceptional program management, communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
