We are currently seeking a Staff Global Supply Manager supporting procurement process related to plastic resins. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of plastic resins to meet the company's production needs. They must identify, develop, and manage the global Supply Chain. He or she will help establish our global supply chain strategy, support cross-functional teams during the development and industrialization phases and drive sound business decisions throughout the product life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage supplier relationships for plastic resins
  • Serve as primary liaison between suppliers and internal departments
  • Develop and implement global supply chain strategies for resin commodities
  • Support cross-functional teams during product development and industrialization
  • Drive cost-effective decisions throughout the product lifecycle

You Will:

  • Develop procurement strategies to optimize resin sourcing while achieving cost and quality objectives
  • Analyze market trends and supply chain risks to mitigate potential disruptions
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify qualified resin suppliers
  • Create RFQs, analyze quotations, and develop sourcing recommendations
  • Negotiate favorable contracts for resin pricing and supply agreements
  • Manage supplier performance and conduct regular reviews
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement activities
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization
  • Track and analyze procurement expenditures and cost-saving initiatives
  • Monitor geopolitical developments and regulations affecting resin procurement
  • Travel 15-25% for supplier business and program reviews

You Bring:

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA or Master's a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain related to plastic resins or polymers
  • Extensive experience in resin procurement and supplier management
  • Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and material properties
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with complex analysis and data analytics in supply chain context
  • In-depth understanding of resin market dynamics and pricing mechanisms
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make strategic decisions
  • Creative problem-solver with calculated risk-taking ability
  • Experience in supplier relationship management and dispute resolution
  • Knowledge of automotive industry trends and emerging technologies in plastics
