The PLM Analyst Manager is an integral part of the Engineering organization and is responsible for managing a team of PLM Analysts and a broad range of activities surrounding Bill of Material analysis and supporting data management throughout the product lifecycle. The role will include people management, industrial process subject matter expertise, and requires a wealth of cross functional team knowledge.

Responsibilities

As the Manager of the PLM Analyst team, you will:

  • Manage a team of PLM Analysts whose role is to support and safeguard the integrity of the Engineering Change Management Process. You will set goals for your team based on corporate program needs and project demands. You will grow your team to accommodate Lucid’s expansion of product lineup. You will create and nurture growth plans for the individuals in your team.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for industrial change management processes (including engineering, manufacturing, service etc.) – able to analyze and articulate relative advantages of various approaches and to drive the best solution for Lucid.
  • Liaise between the Engineering Tools / PLM team, executives, engineering, IT and external partners
  • Drive change process alignment across engineering and with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., NPI, Service Eng., SIE, Homologation...)
  • Define and drive Change Management System requirements (IT, PLM development team, external PLM support partners etc.)

Additionally, as a contributor to the PLM Analyst team you will:

  • Work with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, and other supporting functions to accurately structure new products and document product changes as part of the product development, continuous improvement, and sustaining engineering processes.
  • Create and release part numbers in the PLM system and manage any changes to those part numbers from start to finish.
  • Create and release Bill of Material structures based on input from Engineering and Manufacturing to represent appropriate multilevel structuring.
  • Analyze and manage Engineering Changes which document and communicate changes to previously released parts and BOMs.
  • Advise on best practices for documenting changes to new and existing products.
  • Ensure data integrity between systems (PLM & ERP, etc.) throughout the change cycle.
  • Analyze, process and track change submissions to minimize processing time between submission and implementation.
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the change process and other related practices.
  • Assist in the communication of the Bill of Material requirements between Supply Chain and Production to facilitate material planning, order fulfillment and execution.
  • Act as an interface for the company to internal and external PLM technical teams to understand and customize any information necessary for best business practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years progressive experience in creating and managing bills of material in engineering and production environments, including Change Actions
  • Demonstrated understanding of multilevel Bill of Material hierarchy, including hardware and software components.
  • Demonstrated understanding of product release cycle as it relates to the creation and change management of parts and BOM structures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills working in product lifecycle management applications such as CATIA, ENOVIA, 3DExperience & ERP systems, or comparable PLM environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
  • Skills with common workplace software (Word, Excel spreadsheets, Tableau, etc.) with the ability to create and maintain metrics.
  • Ability to work cross functionally between engineering, production, and supply chain personnel.
  • Prior experience with technology startups and/or automotive OEM a big plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and above in Mechanical Engineering or other related fields

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$156,600—$208,800 USD
