Job Description
We're looking for an Analytical Development Intern to join our awesome team for the spring/summer.
As an Analytical Development Intern, you’ll work alongside a brilliant group of scientists, engineers, and technicians, performing biochemical and analytical assays, including immunoassays that support our journey toward large-scale production of cultivated fat. Your attention to detail, curiosity, and collaborative mindset will make you an essential part of our team.
Your main focus will be running routine biochemical assays and contributing to the development of new analytical methods to enhance their performance, helping to refine key processes that support our innovative research. You’ll work hands-on to improve assay performance, troubleshoot challenges, and explore new techniques that will have a direct impact on our production pipeline. Your contributions will play a crucial role in advancing our scientific capabilities and shaping the future of cultivated fat.
Be part of our team in person. This is a full-time, fixed-term role that is five days a week onsite. Unfortunately, we're not able to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
You should have:
- Completed or are in the final year of an undergraduate degree in chemistry, chemical/biochemical engineering, molecular/cell biology, or a life sciences related field
- Hands-on lab experience from university coursework, research projects, or previous internships
- Experience with biochemical and analytical techniques, such as ELISA and spectrophotometry
- A strong foundation in data analysis
Ideally you'll have experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the following areas:
- Experience with Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs) and Lab Inventory Management Systems (LIMS)
- Knowledge of protein, lipid, or metabolite analysis techniques
- Previous exposure to working in a regulated lab environment
- Experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry
