- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Operations and Order Management:
- Manage open orders to ensure visibility of customer requirements and ensure orders flow into TMS and WMS within a reasonable time frame.
- Resolve shipping delays and escalate service risks to the Customer Experience (CX) team, proposing alternatives to meet customer needs.
- Drive best-in-class service levels and fill rates for assigned areas.
- Recommend and monitor inbound stock transfer orders with the deployment team to ensure proper inventory coverage.
- Transportation Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Perform transportation optimization within the Transportation Management System (TMS), creating and communicating daily and weekly transportation plans.
- Ensure the timely execution of transportation plans, including responsibility for timely pick up, delivery, and invoice approval at contracted rates.
- Lead carrier meetings, communicate forecasts, performance metrics, and identify and resolve root cause issues in delivery operations.
- Lead 3PL fulfillment center meetings, communicate forecasts, performance metrics, and identify and resolve root cause issues in delivery operations.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with 3rd party carriers and 3PL fulfillment sites.
- Continuous Improvement and Planning:
- Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in transportation and supply chain processes.
- Participate in space and capacity planning meetings to proactively manage warehousing needs.
- Develop exception reporting to highlight key risk areas and provide visibility on KPIs to the organization.
- Identify opportunities to increase automation, simplify, and standardize global processes.
- Team Contribution:
- Be a cross-functional team player, partnering with Deployment, Warehousing, Customer Experience, and Transportation teams.
- Act as a thought leader, identifying opportunities to enhance supply chain operations through innovation and collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in transportation and supply chain management, with a proven track record in carrier management, transportation routing, and logistics operations. Experience in both owned fleet management and 3PL environments is essential.
- Proficiency in using WMS/TMS/NetSuite/Telematics systems is mandatory. Advanced problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills are critical. Familiarity with transportation modes, including LTL, truckload, and intermodal, is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across functions and with external partners. Leadership experience in cross-functional team environments is a plus.
