You will be working with PRODUCT AND SYSTEM ENGINEERING in Bengaluru.

This team runs on a hustle mindset with an objective to increase Exponent Energy’s market share in the city of Bengaluru, and help more people adapt to 15 minute rapid charging technology achieved by our Flexible Energy Stack, which consists of the e^pack (battery pack) and e^pump (charging station).

Job Description:

• Be part of a fast-paced cross-domain team building products for the EV Vehicles and Charging Infrastructure
• Capture Business ask, and generate PRDs, Engineering Requirements, System Specifications, and Integration Specifications.
• Support the Business requirements by creating products that meet the product specifications, ideate and create avenues for adding new products in the portfolio, and support existing products
• Design, develop, and validate proof-of-concept prototypes, involving electronics, mechanical systems, and software coding
• Conduct system-level testing and validation to ensure integrated products meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
• Assist the R&D teams by Interpreting Engg Specs, validating POCs, interaction closure between CFTs, Validation plan reviews, and Bugs resolution
• Approach problem-solving with creativity and innovation, focusing on finding effective solutions rather than relying solely on pre-existing knowledge.

Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in R&D, with at least 2 years in a system engineering role.
• Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery technology, battery management systems, charging infrastructure, and IoT devices.
• Proficiency in developing technical specifications and integration plans.
• Hands-on experience with proof-of-concept development, including electronics, mechanical systems, and software coding.
• Skill set in mechanical manufacturing practices and material properties, or electronics and power electronics, or firmware development and data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Strong thirst for building innovative products and unwavering drive to get it done.

Good to have:

• Experience with IoT devices, cloud-based data communication systems, data processing, and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink, Labview, C/C++, and Python automation.
• Knowledge of functional safety (ASPICE, ISO 26262), automotive compliance (AIS 148, AIS 138, AIS, AIS 038, AIS 048)
• Functional knowledge of Requirement Capture tools like IBM Doors, Confluence, and Jama, as well as Program Lifecycle Management tools like Jira, Airtable, etc.
