Regional Staff Product Quality Engineering (PQE) Lead

What You Will Be Doing

ChargePoint is looking for a Senior Factory Quality Engineer to ensure quality of our custom product shipping to end customer. This engineer will be working closely with our contract manufacturing (CM) independently involved in Factory End-To-End Product Quality Control process and management system set up and development. The job scope will be from the initial product design phase throughout the sustaining mass production. He or she will work closely with our Product design, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, Testing, and Reliability Engineering teams, and our Suppliers and Contract Manufacturers. To be successful at ChargePoint this person must be highly motivated, self-directed, and comfortable working in a loosely structured and fast-paced environment.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

Factory PQE with SW-Test Script Coding Heavy Responsibilities:

• First Point-Of-Contact (POC) for Factory quality functional test stations test Software (SW) and test script coding related tasks
• Proactively coordinating with Software (SW)/Firmware (FW)/Embedded SW/Test Eng teams with strong teamworking ability to breakthrough any obstacles
• Support Factory PQE who leads CM (Contract Manufacturer) End-To-End Quality Control setup, FATP (Factory Assembly, Test and Packout) in-process quality control (functional), Outgoing Quality Control (OQC), Out-Of-Box-Audit (OBA), and NPI Reliability/On-Going Reliability Test (ORT)
• Work with CM on the various Quality control station yield data collection, failure analysis, and present the data and report to the cross functional team meetings and executive management
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop, qualify and implement the measurement/ inspection/test system to ensure compliance to design cosmetic and functional specifications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product quality functional test stations and or manufacturing test stations development within mobile or consumer electronics or equivalent products.
• Possess Software (SW) Engineering, Computer science and/or equivalent experiences.
• Fluent English verbal and writing communication. Able to present to executive management in a larger audience meeting
• Excellent teamworking with strong cross functional team collaboration
• Strong FA/RCCA, Failure Analysis, Root causing, and Corrective Action (CA) understanding and knowledge to lead by example
• Bachelor's degree (master's degree a plus) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong Technical understanding can drive proactive preventative actions functional failure defect escape from factory into customer hands
