Job Description

We're looking for a proactive and experienced Commercial Manager C&I Storage Turnkey Budgeting & Design to join our team and make a significant impact on the future of our company. In this role, you will be responsible for budgeting and design of our C&I Storage turnkey offers, leading the procurement & supply contract negotiations as well as overseeing the technical design of our proposals.

You will play a key role in executing our new turnkey solution business in Europe, focusing on small to mid-sized commercial and industrial solar and storage installations.

Main responsibilities

  • Good overall understanding of all steps of a turnkey PV+BESS project and engaging top talent using a variety of sourcing and recruitment tools.
  • Solicit bids and proposals from sub-EPC contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers and needed to prepare a secure and competitive bid response.
  • Prepare back-to-back contracts with third-party suppliers and service providers to meet contract requirements.
  • Analyze the financial metrics of the turnkey projects
  • Participate in and guide the Proposal, preparing the technical and cost components of the proposal, including understanding of the task, plan, past performance and personnel. Review proposal draft and final versions for responsiveness to RFP’s and other sales support and proposal documentation, thoroughness, accuracy, staffing, financial considerations, quality and effective design and layout.
  • Interact with all involved stakeholders i.e. BD Manager, Sales Manager and Execution Manager.
  • Ensure that the exposure to risk is fully compatible with the Company’s requirements and support preparation of the management team to ensure a thorough representation can be made to the Company’s risk committees.
  • Support development of standard material for use in future proposals.
  • Proactive and results-driven mindset with a sense of urgency and hands-on approach.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • High initiative with a structured and methodical approach to challenges.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills while maintaining a customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting comfortably with all levels of the organization, including executive management, in an international environment.
  • Ability to understand customers’ business needs and provide relevant solutions.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, able to work autonomously under pressure.
  • Fluent in English (German or other European languages would be a plus) Germany, Italy, Spain, or remote

  • 10+ years of practical experience in energy project procurement, budgeting and or design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or engineering.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, SAP, MS Project, MS Office, PowerBI, and relevant PMP software tools.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar customer relationship management tools.
  • Industry-relevant operations and planning experience.
  • Ability to travel as required (up to 25%)
