General Summary: Under Anew Canada, LLC, the Anew Canada Low Carbon Fuels team is seeking to hire an analyst who will assist our clients' participation in Canadian low-carbon fuel programs. This position will focus on lifecycle assessment and carbon intensity modelling of renewable natural gas and other alternative fuel projects, data collection and analysis, and other compliance tasks associated with regulatory participation in the Clean Fuel Regulations and the British Columbia Low-Carbon Fuel Standard. This individual will be part of a mid-sized, highly successful company experiencing exponential growth, with many opportunities for professional development. They will gain a broad range of experience in a technical/business position performing LCAs, greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) modeling, CI calculations, market analysis of renewable fuels, project leadership, client and contract management.

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • General administrative support to the Anew Canada - Low Carbon Fuels Technical Services operations team.
  • Participate in company’s objectives within the Canadian Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) and British Columbia Low Carbon Fuel Standard (BC LCFS) compliance programs.
  • Perform Carbon Intensity (CI) and Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) work for existing and prospective clients.
  • Collect recurring quarterly documents and data from clients operating Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities, EV chargers, and advanced fuel dispensing facilities.
  • Update internal recordkeeping database with changes in regulations.
  • Archiving documents with high attention to detail and organization.
  • Support team leads during client onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Perform QAQC on data collection and inputs on the tracker of renewable fuel inventory.
  • Register and maintain fuel pathway applications for projects under the CFR and BC LCFS.
  • Send out emails to clients for completed forms, questions, and information requests.
  • Facilitate facility specific data requests for third party auditors.
  • Frequent processing and validating of large amount of Excel data.
  • Routine check-ins and reporting with Operations, Account Managers and with Supervisors
  • On-going development of systems and procedures to improve efficiency.

Required Education, Qualifications & Experience:

  • University degree in engineering, environmental science, or similar.
  • Proficiency in technical/business communication is expected.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, with the ability to draft professional formatted templates.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, with the ability to process large amounts of data and versatile knowledge of advanced functions and formulas.
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in renewable energy, preferably in natural gas and electricity.
  • Knowledgeable in Canadian low carbon fuel programs.
  • Background in greenhouse gas emissions, carbon intensity, environmental commodities, or life cycle emissions.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and auditing.
