A Sales Coach in Too Good To Go is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive sales coaching program in France designed to improve the effectiveness and performance of our Independent Partner Acquisition team. They will focus their efforts on employee onboarding, ongoing capability development, new initiative implementations, and performance interventions.

Your role:

Reporting to the Head of Sales of France, a Sales Coach will work closely with all Independent Acquisition teams, providing one-on-one coaching, conducting training sessions and workshops, and utilising data-driven insights to drive high performance and impact.

A Sales Coach will help the teams have high quality conversations with partners, as well as training on internal processes, tool adoption and other commercial capabilities, as required. In Acquisition, they will develop the teams’ capabilities to drive effective pitching, objection handling, and closing, as well as pipeline management.

The Sales Coach will also work closely with the Global Commercial function’s Independent Partners Excellence and Enablement teams to understand the products, processes and initiatives developed centrally that will be deployed to local market teams. You will support the Global Indies Enablement team in these deployments by training, coaching and reinforcing these ways of working with your local teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop onboarding and training programs for new joiners in Sales roles that develop the core competencies needed in the role, through a variety of learning methods.
  • Deliver training sessions 1:1 or in groups to new joiners that help them gain confidence, understand Too Good To Go’s product and value drivers, and receive constructive feedback. These should involve high levels of role play activities.
  • Contribute to a supportive, fun team environment and high performance culture by leading regular skill sessions that both new joiners and long-standing team members will find beneficial to apply in their day-to-day duties.
  • Provide call coaching by listening to live calls by Sales and conduct field coaching sessions with Outbound team members
  • Identify skill gaps in the teams, individual performance struggles, and other challenges and adjust your training and coaching plans to support the teams.
  • Stay abreast of all KPIs, targets, processes, and tools that the teams have so that you can make your training and coaching relevant and up to date.
  • Support your manager and Team Leads on any Performance Improvement Plans, treating them with utmost sensitivity and discretion, and working with the employee in question to improve their skills, confidence and performance through coaching and re-training.
  • Develop and build training material, in collaboration with your manager and Team Leads and Global Indies Enablement.
  • Collaborate with and give feedback to Global Indies Enablement in order to help them understand market needs and experiences of the Sales teams.
  • Collaborate with Local P&C in order to build “Sales Academy”, designing and creating training, materials, and support for our interns.
  • Collaborate with Team Leads to support Salesforce training initiatives in order to ensure right usage and full knowledge of tool functionality
  • In-depth knowledge of capability frameworks for all sales figures with the aim of supporting the manager in structuring growth paths for team members and bridging skills gaps
  • Collaborate and work closely with TLs to define growth paths for the teams and improve synergies between and among teams

    In addition, as a Sales Coach, the successful candidate must ensure mobility across the country, dedicating at least 50% of their time on a monthly basis according to team and business needs.

    Requirements:

  • You are a great salesperson and you’re a great leader. You have an exceptional understanding of how to motivate a team
  • You have strong experience working and leading in sales. This has exposed you to different sales environments and methodologies that you can draw on to lead Too Good To Go’s sales team
  • You have developed or supported to set up a sales function, ideally in a scale-up, fast-growth business
  • You’re an incredible trainer and get energised by growing individuals and teams.
  • You are experienced in using a CRM/Sales tool
  • You are a first-class communicator and are able to draw on those skills to set the bar high and get team members to perform at their absolute best
  • You are highly empathetic and emotionally intelligent, and at the same time, you know how to challenge people. You believe that intrinsic motivation and a growth mindset are key to success. You fully agree when people tell you that coaching is a trajectory, not an event.
  • You are a make-it-happen person who is excited to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
  • Fluency in English & French is a MUST HAVE
