We provide the most efficient and affordable options to homeowners, improve their experience, and coordinate the installation of home improvement projects. In doing so, we're “super powering” contractors by automating admin tasks and allowing them to focus on installation excellence and customer happiness.
We’re starting by transforming heating and cooling replacements for property owners, a $120 billion industry which makes up 12% of total energy usage in the US. Federal and state governments allocate billions of dollars in incentives to help homeowners choose high-efficiency systems—now at unprecedented levels thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022—but the dollars are historically underutilized due to lack of customer awareness. We’re democratizing and unlocking those incentive dollars starting in our home state of Massachusetts, and now preparing to expand to new markets.
About The Role
The Senior Manager will lead our direct mail efforts from audience segmentation, direct planning, execution and analysis. It will require someone who can learn extremely quickly and resourcefully, quickly translate day to day business needs into action. The Direct Mail Senior Manager will be responsible for advanced data analysis skills to drive homeowner engagement, improve campaign performance, and achieve our aggressive growth goals across existing and new markets.
Our 30-strong team is mostly based near Boston and New York City, but we're distributed across 12 states (and 7 countries) and work remotely. This role, while based wherever you call home, will report to Tetra's VP of Marketing.
What You Will Do
- Plan, execute, and optimize direct mail campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with creative team, printers, data vendor and mailing houses to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Develop segmentation strategies to target the right audience with personalized and impactful messaging.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics (e.g., response rates, LTV) and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships for all direct mail initiatives.
- Analyze customer behavior and segmentation data to identify trends, opportunities, and insights that inform direct mail and broader marketing strategies.
- Create predictive models to forecast campaign outcomes and customer lifetime value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a clean, organized, and actionable customer database.
- Leverage tools like Excel, SQL, or metabase to create dashboards and reports that track campaign performance and customer insights.
Who You Are:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in direct mail marketing and/or customer data analysis.
- Proven track record of managing successful direct mail campaigns and working with large customer datasets.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of direct mail production processes, postal regulations, and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.
- You love solving problems. You don't get stressed out by them, you correctly recognize them as fuel for progress, roll up your sleeves, and get to work.
