Role Summary The Product Security team develops and implements security protection into the vehicle and supporting infrastructure. We are involved in the full chain of security from defining the requirements, planning software and hardware security, developing, deploying, and maintaining security protections. As a Product Security Identity engineer, this person will develop and scale services and infrastructure that are critical identity components for vehicle support, manufacture and operation. This engineer will help mentor team members in identity and management best practices. This role will be critical to help define the Identity and Access management roadmap that is a cornerstone of our security foundation. When performing these responsibilities, this person will be working closely with multiple functionalities, Safety, Privacy, IT, OT, and SRE teams. This role is flex onsite 3x a week out of either our Palo Alto, CA or Irvine, CA office and reports directly to the Sr. Manager Product Security Infrastructure. Responsibilities Support, maintain, and improve in-house Identity and Access management services. Help define the Identity and Access Management roadmap. Help drive specification and implementation of new and ongoing identity services. Help to define standardized access management policies. Mitigate vulnerabilities found or reported by internal and external parties by aligning with company’s goals and objectives. Implement Identity and Access management protections to comply with regulations and industry standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of experience using modern server-side programming languages such as go or python to develop web services. Working understanding of modern cryptography and security best practices in service development. 4+ years of work in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, Identity and Access Management roles for compliance and engineer or similar working with production services. Expert-level knowledge of any of the following: cloud native development, security policy definition and implementation, identity and access management administration. In-depth experience working with cross functionally with heterogenous engineering teams to ensure the reliability of security critical services. Experience leading projects with ambiguous requirements from planning through completion. Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Palo Alto, California Based Applicants: $206,500.00 - 258,100.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Irvine, California Based Applicants: $190,000.00 - $237,500.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
