Role Summary The Data Engineer (Audio) is responsible for procuring, preparing, and maintaining audio datasets for training, evaluation, and validation of Audio models, including Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) models. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, audio processing, and machine learning. Responsibilities ● Procure audio datasets from various sources, ensuring data quality and compliance with data privacy regulations ● Preprocess audio data, including noise reduction, feature extraction, and data augmentation ● Organize and maintain audio datasets in a structured and accessible format ● Develop and implement data pipelines for efficient data processing and management ● Collaborate with machine learning engineers to understand model requirements and provide tailored datasets ● Monitor data quality and identify potential issues or biases in the datasets ● Design and execute validation plans for Audio models, including ASR and TTS models ● Evaluate model performance on different datasets and provide insights for model improvement ● Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in audio data engineering and machine learning ● Document data engineering processes and maintain clear documentation for future reference Qualifications ● Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field ● 3+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably with a focus on audio data ● Strong knowledge of audio processing techniques and machine learning algorithms ● Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data pipelines ● Familiarity with data mining tools and technologies ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. ● Outstanding team player, capable of building consensus in a dynamic environment.
