Role Summary The Security Specialist will promote a culture that improves employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce. The role is essential in supporting a proactive, consultative, and service-orientated culture for Security at Rivian. They are responsible for maintaining a safe, secure environment while handling physical security operations at the Manufacturing plant. The Security Specialist I has a bias for action, is trustworthy, and consistently demonstrates a high degree of work excellence. Responsibilities Respond to calls for service that require the ability to gather relative information and document findings. Efficiently communicate and coordinate emergency response for medical incidents, fires, and other priority incidents via radio. Function independently, under pressure, and perform multiple tasks and duties with minimal direction or oversight. Conduct routine security checks and inspections. Provide support for access control and authentication processes. Assume overall leadership of Security Operations in the absence or at the direction of Production Security Management. Practice a customer service mindset in driving a culture of security awareness across the business. Maintain a detailed understanding of Rivian’s policies and procedures. Maintain positive relationships with all levels of staff, including executive leadership and team members. Assist with on-site events by performing security and administrative tasks.
