About Redwood Materials

Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Material Flow Supervisor

The Material Flow Supervisor is a leadership role on the Operations and Inventory Planning team at Redwood Materials. This person will coordinate the efficient movement of materials to support production, coordinate the receipt of raw materials, and prepare shipment of finished goods. The Material Flow Supervisor will also build a team of Material Handlers, and mentor for professional growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of associates to ensure shipping and receiving requirements are achieved.
  • Responsible for safety compliance and training, especially as it pertains to material handling equipment.
  • Manage the internal flow of material to support production requirements.
  • Receive inbound shipments from suppliers of raw materials, maintenance parts, and engineering equipment.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, material availability, and material replenishment.
  • Facilitate monthly physical inventory audits and work with the inventory control team to ensure that cycle counts are completed.
  • Develop and implement material flow strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage data and transactions within a Warehouse Management System and create reports to support management decision making.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehousing and material flow required.
  • Experience storing and transporting dangerous goods preferred.
  • A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
