About Redwood Materials
Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.
Corporate Security Specialist
We are seeking a Corporate Security Specialist that would play an integral part in a critical life-safety role designed to help the Security Organization keep employees safe and secure. This role will be instrumental in responding to security threats, life-safety alarms, and emergency situations which occur within the business. As a Corporate Security Specialist, you will be the first line of response within the Security Organization to safety, security, and medical events across the business. Further, you will be responsible for investigations and security training and awareness across the business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Respond to all manners of emergencies that occur across the business.
- Investigate all manners of incidents across the business.
- Provide security awareness training to all business units.
- Work as a liaison between local, state, and federal emergency responders and investigators.
- Conduct patrols at all facilities.
- Work as an Emergency Response Team Leader.
- Assist Security Operations Center Operators within the Security Organization in order to respond to incidents, conduct investigations, and other duties as deemed prudent by leadership.
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of professional corporate security experience.
- Experience working with Security Professionals globally.
- Basic First-Aid, CPR, and AED Certification. Advanced medical training a plus.
- Experience and working knowledge of Video Management and Access Control systems.
- A working knowledge of corporate security best practices.
- Ability to engage and work with local, state, and federal first responders.
- Military or public safety experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, lift, and carry objects over 50 lbs.
- Must be able to wear and work wearing an SCBA, respirator, or other safe breathing device.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs carrying weight.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
Working Conditions:
- Environment, such as office or outdoors and inclement weather conditions.
- Exposures encountered, such as hazardous materials, loud noise, fires, or extreme heat/cold.
- Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.
- Required to work weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job.
- Travel requirements are less than 25%.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
