We are seeking a Senior Manager of Product Design who will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products by leading a talented design team, mentoring designers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Manager of Product Design you will lead, mentor, and inspire a talented team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment where creativity thrives. Your mission will be to guide your team in solving complex user challenges and creating intuitive, elegant experiences that simplify data and workflows. By deeply understanding our customers' needs, you will ensure the delivery of design solutions that not only solve real user problems but also deliver meaningful value. In this role, you will balance leading the design team with cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that our products align with user needs and support the company's objectives. Your leadership will drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and user-centered design excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of product designers, helping them grow professionally and achieve their full potential.
- Own and guide the end-to-end design process across multiple projects, from research and concept development to execution, testing, and iteration.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, sales, marketing, and other internal teams to create compelling, user-centric solutions.
- Create and refine complex data visualizations that adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), making information intuitive and accessible to users.
- Design visual interfaces, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to effectively communicate and test ideas with stakeholders.
- Push the boundaries of product design and data visualization, ensuring our products not only meet but exceed user expectations.
- Engage with ProducePay customers to gather feedback and conduct usability testing, ensuring designs are validated and aligned with user needs.
- Facilitate and participate in key design meetings, including brainstorming sessions, weekly updates, and quarterly planning.
- Develop and maintain design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across all product interfaces.
- Advocate for a user-first approach and foster a design culture that values innovation, collaboration, and high-quality output.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on product design experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role, including team management, mentoring, and design team development.
- Strong design foundation with the ability to execute all phases of the design process, including research, UX, UI, concept testing, and iteration.
- Proven experience designing large-scale, complex data visualizations and making them accessible according to WCAG standards.
- Demonstrated ability to think holistically about complex systems and create cohesive, compelling user experiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A polished portfolio showcasing your design expertise and ability to solve complex problems.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, and prototyping tools.
- Experience with AgTech or FinTech is a big plus
- Bachelor's degree in HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field (preferred).
