Our Regulation, Risk and Policy team, dedicated to steering OVO’s central initiatives, is integral to achieving our overarching goal of net zero carbon living. With a clear focus on risk, compliance and regulatory excellence and sustainable and ethical practices, we play a crucial role in shaping the policies and processes that drive our Plan Zero ambitions. This role in a nutshell:

You’ll harness your knowledge of controls to ensure that OVO has a well understood controls framework that operates effectively and in a sustainable way. You’ll be part of the team that operates our controls framework - helping guide our business through the complexities of control design and operation. You’ll play a part in our strategic pursuit of net zero carbon living, supporting the delivery of controls that align with and support our mission and objectives.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Analysing control requirements,working with key operational process owners to understand the control requirements from their processes, relevant regulations and control frameworks.
  • Assessing controls health, reviewing the current state of operational controls and their maturity.
  • Identifying control gaps, assessing existing controls for completeness and recommending areas for improvement.
  • Documenting existing controls, identifying key operating parameters and control owners.
  • Suggesting control improvements, working alongside the Controls Manager to highlight areas which would benefit from new or improved controls.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of controls.

You’ll be a successful Controls Analyst here at OVO if you…

  • have a passion for controls and a desire to work cooperatively within OVO to ensure appropriate controls across our business.
  • have experience of governance and controls frameworks and an understanding of the key concepts of good controls.
  • apply your working understanding of controls frameworks such as COSO, to find practical solutions to support our zero carbon mission.
  • can effectively communicate and engage with and influence senior team members.
  • are resilient and adaptable in managing challenges with strong ethical values and a desire to get it right.

Let’s talk about what’s in it for you

We’ll pay you between £26,000 to £34,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
