As part of our Project Management Office, you will lead and oversee projects from conception to delivery, working closely with a diverse and talented team to meet the needs of our clients and partners, such as the European Space Agency or National Space Agencies. You’ll ensure smooth coordination across departments, manage risks, and deliver quality results, helping Your role will involve:

• Project management of data related projects
• Lead the Munich based project team in line with the project requirements and our project management processes
• Track project tasks and milestones to ensure adherence to timelines and milestones
• Participate in quality assurance activities, such as reviewing project deliverables to ensure they meet established quality standards
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including risk registers, issue logs, and change requests
• Monitor project finances to ensure the project is delivered within the agreed budget
• Foster collaboration across different departments (Business Development, Product Management, Space Development, Sales) to ensure project alignment with organizational goals
• Engage with and manage Customers and stakeholders such as ESA, DLR, or the Copernicus Services to ensure alignment, clear communication, and satisfaction with project objectives
• University degree in Technology or Innovation Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project management
• A background in Earth observation-related fields, such as Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, or Aerospace Engineering, is considered an asset
• Experience in the Space industry and management of projects with government agencies and institutions (ESA, DLR, EUSPA, etc) is a plus
• Good knowledge of Project Management principles and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum and Waterfall
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to project success
• Personal attitude in team building, coordination and conflict resolution
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel
