About the job

The Material Flow Integration Engineer is responsible for integrating material flow systems into the overall design of gigafactories and gigafactory sites, ensuring seamless coordination between production processes, logistics, and facility layout. They play a critical role in optimizing material flow efficiency and throughput to support the successful operation of manufacturing facilities.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production requirements,
  inventory management strategy, and facility layout constraints.
• Develop material flow integration strategies that maximize efficiency, minimize waste,
  and optimize resource utilization within gigafactory environments.
• Design & model interfaces for material handling systems, conveyor systems, and other
  equipment to support smooth and efficient material flow.
• Work closely with architects and engineers to integrate site flow considerations into
  overall facility design
• Conduct feasibility studies and business case calculations to evaluate proposed material flow designs and identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to local site teams during the implementation
  and commissioning of material flow solutions.
