About the job

As a Health & Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's safety programs and policies. Your role ensures that all operations comply with government health and safety regulations.

You will conduct safety assessments to identify and address potential workplace hazards, ensuring a safe environment for all employees. Additionally, you will complete and submit all necessary reports to federal, state, and local authorities regarding safety compliance.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate closely with managers and various departments to coordinate and enhance occupational health and safety initiatives, as well as foster a strong safety culture across the organization.
• Play a key role in establishing and maintaining a Health & Safety management system aligned with ISO 45001 standards and internal guidelines.
• Compile, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management and other relevant stakeholders.
• Support the organization in conducting risk assessments, including reviews of potential hazards, and participate in investigations of incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Conduct evaluations of physical work environment factors such as chemical exposure, noise, and ergonomics, either directly or through external partners.
• Provide training, coaching, and guidance to leaders and employees on occupational health and safety practices.
• Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with evolving health and safety regulations.
• Serve as the superuser for occupational health and safety systems (e.g., TIA) and manage technical solutions for change management and new projects.
• Participate as a member of health and safety committees and maintain communication with relevant authorities.
