Summery:

Lucid is seeking a Low currents system engineer with an expertise in Data, Security & BMS systems with at least +15 years of commercial | industrial construction experience. Previous experience is working within Industrial facilities is a plus. The Senior Low Current Engineer is responsible for the Design and Engineering of one of the company’s most sizable projects, coordinating electrical efforts with a large team ensuring that company policies and procedures are met regarding safety, scheduling, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage & oversee all low current system design and Engineering with the Project Designer ensure Lucid’s requirements is fully considered.
  • Direct and coordinate with Lucid’s trade contractors and their subcontractors, to ensure high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule that includes the following:
  • Data and IT infrastructure (Passive & Active)
  • Building Management System (BMS).
  • CCTV , Security & Access control systems.
  • Fire alarm System.
  • Public address systems.
  • VMS (Video Management Systems).
  • Configure, commission, and integrate low current systems, ensuring they meet all specifications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for low current systems, ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and locates malfunction in all low current systems / devices.
  • Oversee and supervise the installation of low current systems, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Ensure system integration and programming meet Lucid’s requirements.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical or IT Engineering.
  • 15+ years of experience on a construction project in a similar role.

Qualifications:

  • Capable of managing Large / Complex projects and field teams $175M+)
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs.
  • Must possess the ability to participate presentations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, Autodesk cloud, A site.
  • Construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction.
  • Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan.
  • Ability to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude.
