Job Summary:
As a Hardware Security Test Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in assessing and enhancing the low-level security of our systems. You will work closely with our engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities, design and implement security tests, and review hardware designs. Your expertise in hardware security, including secure boot, authenticated debug, silicon-level assessment, side-channel analysis, fault injection, and components like Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), and Secure Elements (SE), will be essential in improving the security robustness of our products.
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute test plans to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in debug interfaces.
- Secure Boot Assessment:
- Conduct secure boot assessments to ensure the integrity and authenticity of firmware and bootloader components.
- Identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in the secure boot process.
- Assist in the development of secure boot strategies and best practices.
- Silicon Security Assessment:
- Perform thorough chip-level security assessments, including side-channel analysis and fault injection.
- Ensure hardware-level secret management backed by secure enclaves like TEE and HSM.
- Secure Hardware Design Review:
- Review hardware designs and architectures for security vulnerabilities.
- Provide input and recommendations to improve the security of hardware subsystems.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that hardware security testing processes align with industry standards and best practices.
- Assist in compliance assessments and audits related to hardware security.
About the Team:
You will be part of a dynamic offensive security team that operates across disciplines, offering a unique opportunity to learn and break into other security domains. Working alongside subject matter experts from various fields, including cloud, system, wireless, and more, you will have the chance to expand your expertise and contribute to a diverse range of security challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hardware security testing, with expertise in secure boot, authenticated debug, silicon-level assessment, side-channel analysis, fault injection, and components like TEE, HSM, and SE.
- Strong understanding of Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), and Secure Elements (SE).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in working with hardware security standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience in embedded system programming (C/C++, assembly) and FPGA design.
- Familiarity with industry-standard security assessment tools and methodologies.
