Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer, Vehicle Systems Engineering, Vehicle Integration to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in creating the entire vehicle systems engineering process, leading its application to future products. This role is central to integrating features, attributes, and customer experiences into the vehicle architecture, defining the blueprint for our next-generation vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the VSE team to create the vehicle systems engineering process, from concept to production, ensuring the seamless integration of features, attributes, and customer experiences into the vehicle architecture. This involves driving the working and steering groups for systems engineering process development and preparing for executive reviews as needed.
  • Utilize systems engineering design, analysis, and optimization methodologies to enhance customer experiences while meeting performance, efficiency, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including attribute owners, product managers, hardware engineers, and digital/SW engineers, to establish drive design decisions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or PhD with systems engineering coursework preferred.
  • Experience (2+ years) in systems engineering
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from concept to production, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Understanding of product architecture, system, subsystem, and component level integration.
  • Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as CAMEO/Catia Magic
  • Proficiency in using JAMA to document requirements and test results
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Preferred:

  • Experience with electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid vehicles, or autonomous vehicle technologies
  • Understanding of vehicle architecture in both the hardware and software domain
  • Experience creating and implementing a systems engineering process in a fast paced startup environment
  • Experience creating and implementing systems engineering processes INCOSE SEP and OMG SysML certifications

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$110,600—$138,200 USD
