Job Description

Responsible for defining Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) test processes and equipment to be commissioned at our contract manufactures. This includes equipment identification, installation, acceptance, issue resolution, and documentation, while ensuring alignment to development schedules.


Key Responsibilities

•Responsible for electrical circuit design and analysis.

•Responsible for working with high voltage electronics and related safety processes.

•Defines manufacturing test processes and procedures to achieve product requirements.

•Performs equipment Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).

•Develops manufacturing test plans in alignment with FAT and customer expectations.

•Contributes to PFMEA review and operational process risk assessments.

•Oversees factory equipment install, debug, launch, and continuous improvement activities.

•Actively participates in the program core team to accomplish daily tasks and meet the project deliverables.

•Establishes equipment installation schedules and facilitates weekly/daily status reviews with vendors and contractors.

•Leads lessons learned and continuous improvement activities to improve quality and reduce cost associated with manufacturing test process.

•Stay current with the latest industry trends, developments and technologies in your field.


Additional Job Description

•Hands-on knowledge of test equipment, common electrical tests, and manufacturing processes.

•Experience troubleshooting equipment and electrical circuits [Problem solving, Debug].

•Understanding and experience with data acquisition hardware [2+ Years Preferred].

•Test application and programming software experience [LabVIEW].

•Experience leading a project [Coordinating resources, Status reporting, Tracking timelines].

•Strong analytical practical problem-solving skills and ability to form opinions based in data aggregation.

•Experience with DFMEAs/PFMEAs.


Minimum Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering [Controls experience preferred].

•3-5 years proven experience in electrical circuit testing and writing test procedures related to NPD/NPI roles.

•Strong understanding of automated test development.

•Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

•Proficiency in project management tools and software.

•Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.

•Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

•Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and functions.

•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
