Fastned has already built a network of over 300 ultra-fast charging stations across Europe, making EV charging seamless and convenient for drivers. Our goal? To develop a network of 1,000 fast-charging stations in prime locations across Europe, accessible to all electric vehicles. We find, build, operate, and maintain our own stations, and to make this vision a reality, we need passionate people who are eager to learn and push boundaries!

📌 The role

As a Public Affairs Intern at Fastned, you will work closely with the Public Affairs Manager for France and broader team to support strategic advocacy efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in the intersection of public policy, sustainable mobility, and corporate strategy. You will be involved in a wide variety of tasks, ranging from research and analysis to communication and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Policy Research & Analysis:
• Monitor and analyze public policy developments related to electric mobility, renewable energy, and infrastructure in France (EU, local governments, and relevant stakeholders).
• Prepare policy briefs, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Mapping & Engagement:
• Support the mapping of key stakeholders (e.g., government officials, industry groups, NGOs, and influencers) in the context of Fastned’s business objectives.
• Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings and events with stakeholders to advocate for Fastned’s interests.
• Public Affairs Campaign Support:
• Contribute to the development and execution of public affairs campaigns aimed at advancing Fastned’s policy goals.
• Help draft position papers, and other communications materials to support Fastned’s public policy initiatives in France.
• Event Coordination:
• Assist in organizing and attending public affairs-related events, such as conferences, webinars, or meetings with policymakers and other stakeholders.
• Internal Reporting & Documentation:
• Regularly update internal teams on relevant developments in the public policy landscape and advocacy initiatives.
• Maintain and organize databases of contacts, meeting notes, and policy documents.

📌 Who we are looking for

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in political science, public policy, communications, environmental studies, or a related field.
• A strong interest in public policy, sustainable mobility, clean energy, and the transition to electric vehicles.
• Ability to quickly understand complex policy issues and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise reports, emails, and policy briefs.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work while also collaborating well with team members in a fast-paced environment.

• Fluency in English and French is required.
