Job Description
You will be a part of the Talent Discovery team. This individual contributor role will not involve leading or managing a team. We all own our tasks.
At early-stage startups, talent density is a key factor separating the best from the rest. As a member of the talent discovery team, your role will be instrumental in ensuring we have the best individuals for the jobs open across tech & non-tech roles.

What you will do:
- Talent Acquisition: Identify and attract top talent for both technical and non-technical roles to support Exponent's growth.
- Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership and hiring managers to assess and plan for current and future staffing needs.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Manage communication with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring feedback is gathered and the next steps are initiated with minimal delays
- Process Adherence: Ensure that all stakeholders follow established hiring processes and optimize the use of the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to efficiently manage candidate pipelines.
- Data Management: Regularly update and maintain accurate data in the ATS for reporting purposes.
- Hiring Hygiene: Keep various trackers and reports up to date, ensuring all stakeholders are informed throughout the hiring process.
- Role Ownership: Take full ownership of recruitment processes as needed, including job description approvals, budget management, interview scheduling, and overseeing the entire hiring cycle to closure.
What you will need:
- Comprehensive Role Understanding: Ability to grasp the unique requirements of both deep-tech and non-tech positions.
- ATS and Data Management: Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Workable, along with experience in Management Information Systems (MIS), report generation, and data maintenance.
- Team Building: Proven experience in scaling teams across product & tech, operations, business, and support roles within a startup environment, encompassing both hardware and software domains.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools.
- Startup Experience: 3 to 6 years of overall experience in a startup setting, preferably in the EV space.
