About The Role & Team

We are adding a Director, Program Management to our Services Team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this individual will hold and own the vision and drive forward growth for our existing Program Management Vertical acting in a true business operator capacity. The Program Management Vertical specializes in the ownership (on behalf of clients) of development, financing, and construction of complex utility-scale solar and BESS projects This individual will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives, oversee program execution, and contribute to business development and expansion efforts. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the renewable energy industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong technical background in software or technical services and looking to own their own business vertical.

What You’ll Do:

Strategy & Vision

  • Define, hold, and own the overall vision for the Program Management vertical, within the Services organization in conjunction with the COO.
  • Set overall vertical financial budget, resource plan, and growth plan necessary to achieve the Company’s stated goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership to the existing Program Management Vertical, directly managing key personnel, providing guidance on major customer engagements, and helping represent all aspects of the project lifecycle for a variety of commercial & industrial, distributed generation (DG), and utility-scale solar & battery storage projects.
  • Directly influence the design and architecture of new software products and tools to serve renewable energy project developers and investors through Euclid’s platform in collaboration with Euclid’s Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) team.
  • Serve as strategic thought partner and active contributing member of the Services Leadership Team.

Execution

  • Full financial model P&L ownership over the entire vertical and affiliated programs. Achieve stated financial targets and standards across all major vertical programs, including efficient and cost-effective utilization of the Team’s staff, and present financial information to leadership monthly.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the successful execution of multiple, complex programs, within the vertical, ensuring overall timelines, budgets, and quality metrics are consistently met.
  • Inspire a team of employees to execute on the vertical strategies, providing strategic and tactical direction, coaching and mentorship, performance evaluation, and professional development. Conduct program evaluations to ensure subject matter expertise and resourcing needs are in sync and met.
  • Work with Euclid’s People Team to plan, recruit, hire, and retain employees as well as oversee annual performance evaluation for the Team.
  • Oversee the implementation of Euclid’s tools and processes to maximize team efficiency and ensure standardization of customer experience, and provide rapid feedback to Euclid’s EPD Team.
  • Work in conjunction with Services’ Leadership team on monthly resource and budget forecasting and planning and ongoing financial reporting/reforecasting activities across engagements.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key customers and strategic partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Growth

  • Lead the development, creation, and implementation of a long-term strategy for the business vertical, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and renewable energy market trends and lead growth and execution strategies to achieve stated goals.
  • Work closely with the finance team to set and achieve revenue and profitability targets for the business vertical, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the team, driving the development of new service offerings that meet emerging needs within the renewable energy sector and identifying opportunities for expanding service offerings within existing client relationships.
  • Drive business development initiatives for both prospective and existing clients within the sales pipeline, including identifying new opportunities and building strong relationships with existing clients.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in business operations or program management, with at least 6 years of experience in renewable energy development, finance, engineering, or construction; or comparable experience in adjacent industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple teams and programs simultaneously, contributing to vertical and group infrastructure development and delivering high-quality results within a strategic framework.
  • Proven experience in planning, leading, and delivering on strategic initiatives with measurable business impact in a startup or small team (60-100+) in a fast paced environment where business needs are perpetually evolving.
  • Professional experience and familiarity with the legal, financial, engineering, and/or construction aspects of large infrastructure project and renewable energy development, execution, financing etc.; comprehensive knowledge of renewables project lifecycles, fundamentals, and key project value drivers.
  • Proven ability to thoughtfully and positively inspire, lead, and manage teams
  • Ability to zoom in and out of the weeds with a strong inclination to scale tactics into repeatable processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships with different types of personalities
  • Strong understanding of consulting & technical services industry
  • Expert experience in high-profile client management and business development.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; negotiation skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.

The starting base pay for this role is between $250,000 - $325,000. The base pay depends upon many factors, such as education, experience, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified. This role may also be eligible for equity and benefits.
