Job Description
About EnergyHubEnergyHub empowers utilities and their customers to create a clean, distributed energy future. We help consumers turn their smart thermostats, EVs, batteries, and other products into virtual power plants that keep the grid stable and enable higher penetration of solar and wind power.
About the OpportunityOur Technical Operations team is looking for a Technical Program Manager to support our Distributed Energy Resource (DER) partners as they integrate with our platform, including managing launches, and facilitating post-launch partner support systems. This Program Manager will establish and deliver onboarding content, develop and own project progress tracking methods, manage post-integration support to scalably interact with our partners, and facilitate new product requests that increase the impact of these ecosystem partners.
This role is fundamental to expanding our Distributed Energy Resource (DER) ecosystem by enabling our technology partners to integrate with our APIs and contribute to the broader portfolio of resources for our utility clients. We are looking for someone who is motivated by building and enforcing processes that will scale as we grow. To be impactful in this role, you have a strong technical skill set, are highly organized, and are comfortable interacting externally and cross-functionally.
Main Responsibilities: What you'll do
- Interface with our DER device partners as they integrate against our APIs, enabling more distributed energy resources to participate in our utility programs
- Work with device partner stakeholders to communicate implementation requirements, related technical documentation, identify risks, manage and monitor project schedules in sustainable ways
- Create, manage, and deliver implementation content for partners to utilize from kickoff and throughout the integration process
- Own the triage process for partner issues and bugs – ensuring they get resolved and communicated.
- Coordinate with the product, partner, customer success, and engineering teams to represent and help shepherd new partner-related product capabilities through internal evaluation and new product development processes
- Monitor the progress of partners to ensure they move through our process, either escalating where appropriate, influencing the partner to accelerate its integration, or ensuring the teams scale up/down their engagement based on partner priority and demonstrated motivation
- Facilitate a system for how technical specs are maintained and delivered to partners, in collaboration with product and engineering teams
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience: What you need
- 5+ years of experience leading large cross-team initiatives
- A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and related technologies.
- Experience working in a consulting environment, or otherwise experience coordinating with third-party business and technical teams.
- The ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with engineering teams.
- Proven experience building new processes and rolling them out to teams and departments.
- Comfortable working with stakeholders of all levels.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Experience: Nice-to-haves
- A working knowledge of the Utilities industry and/or relevant device manufacturers (Thermostat, Battery, EV, etc) and supporting business processes
