Job Description


We are currently looking for a Product Owner for Fluence OS UI to join our team in our Bengaluru, Karnataka, Tech Hub India.


With a passion for exceeding customer needs and developing world class software you will work with our software leaders to develop a compelling vision and plan for the Fluence OS User Interface app. We anticipate continuous development of features and functionality in the coming years, bringing value to our customers and enabling new, innovative controls applications of our business needs. You will play a critical role embedding agile development/deployment practices, supporting our software leader. In conjunction with development partners, you will coordinate status reporting to senior leadership, and ensure up to date state, quality, and scope information as available.


Responsibilities:

•Proactively gathers and weighs the needs of customers, internal and external, balancing priorities, time to market, value and competitive landscape.

•Represents Voice of Customer to the development team through clear unambiguous user stories and requirements

•Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.

•Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.

•Identifies required resources and priorities in collaboration with technical lead.

•Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope and communicates relevant project information to appropriate levels of management.

•Manages project budget or supports dedicated project manager; works with project management team to provide holistic project overview

•Ensures development artifacts and documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

•Works with technical lead to coordinate agile development process and drive a culture of continuous development

•Works with Commissioning engineers, Global Services team and UI/UX designers to understand, analyze and design the product based on the requirements

•Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.

•Actively participate in the sprint review discussions and prepare and present appropriate materials

•Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.

•Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.


Qualifications


Required

•A Bachelor's or master's degree in any IT (Informational Technology) Field.

•Experience using Agile development methodologies.

•A college degree in a relevant field with 3+ years of work experience or 5+ years of product development experience in lieu of degree

•Experience working with global development partners in a remote environment

•Excellent planning and time management skills with a record of accomplishment of following through on commitment

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Willingness to travel to project sites for development and gathering customer requirements

•Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies and distributed software systems

•Experience with Scrum/Kanban or similar Agile Software Project Management tools (i.e. Github Projects, Jira, Trello)

•Experience in developing data visualizations involving large data from systems such as SCADA.

•Experience with developing tools for configuration and commissioning industrial systems


Preferred:

•Experience owning software products in the web, mobile and IoT space a huge plus

•Certified SAFe Product Owner

•Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO)
